Adjunct Professor of Interior Design
After her undergraduate studies in metalsmithing and sculpture, Okkwon Kim received her MS in Interior Design from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY. Okkwon has 38 years of experience of designing multi-disciplinary solutions for the most technically demanding facilities. After working decades for major corporations in the industry, Okkwon started her own practice D_Space Interiors, eight years ago. She has been involved in programming, conceptual design, design development, construction documentation, furniture package and signage coordination. In her professional capacity, she aims to design intelligent, functional spaces that encourage success and help people focus on achieving their goals. Her passion is to mentor a new generation of young interior designers. In the classroom, she brings real life experience to design, preparing students for professional careers.
