Adjunct Professor of Photography
Fred Brashear Jr. is a Southern California photo-based artist who researches and documents the environmental, societal and cultural issues that have an impact on our world. His current, ongoing art project documents the reduction of Joshua Tree habitat in the Mojave Desert.
Included into several private collections, Fred has participated in multiple exhibitions across North America. He earned his Master of Fine Arts degree from California State University, San Bernardino and has worked with iconic photographers Mark Power and Jim Goldberg,
both members of Magnum Photo Agency. Fred currently lives in Hesperia with his wife of 20 years and their two teenage children.
