Adjunct Professor of Architecture
Jacob Slagill received his Master of Architecture degree from California Baptist University and is a designer on the architecture team at Plainjoe Studios. Much of his professional work deals with the design churches and ministry related spaces nationwide. His thesis work and primary research efforts also involve the Protestant church in America and how architecture can better serve the Kingdom of God. Working with the Church Design Research Institute, his research agenda focuses on the pursuit of formal, organizational, and aesthetic principals that can enhance how the Church both conveys its purpose to the public, how it can be used as a tool for Worship, and how it serves the people within it.
